PROMECON - PROject Management in European eCONomyWhat:An intensive program on project management (PM) approaches, methodologies, techniques as they apply to different industries in Europe.Why:Despite its importance in today's competitive economy, PM is a subject that has not yet received equivalent attention at university courses.How:It will include lectures, seminars and workshops form both academics and industry professionals. Industrial visits to companies and sites were PM techniques are applied will also be part of the program.Each partner (academic institution) will participate with both teaching staff and students. Teaching staff is expected to contribute with lectures, seminars, workshops delivered to the international group of students. Student projects are welcomed to be presented. It is a good idea that students present experiences from their own country. Enough planning of course is needed between the participating institutions for the organization of the content and its delivery. Target:It is targeted to senior undergraduate students from business, science and engineering aiming in introducing them the concept of a project oriented economy, make them aware of the different aspects of project management (according to the views of the international professional bodies of PM), explore the applications and the importance of project management in the new economy and provide them with skills and knowledge on relevant tools and methodologies. |
